SOUND QUALITY

Neo technology, including the world's first TV with two up-firing beam tweeters(1), means the BRAVIA 9 lets you experience sound from the screen - just like at the cinema!

Each Beam Tweeter projects sound upwards to reflect off the ceiling, so aerial effects truly appear to come from overhead. Our Frame Tweeters invisibly vibrate the frame to project sound forwards. The result is our most immersive cinematic surround yet, with each sound coming from exactly the right place within a scene. We call this Acoustic Multi-Audio+.

Voice Zoom 3 uses the latest in AI (Artificial Intelligence) machine learning to make dialogue and commentary easier to understand, so even faraway or muffled voices are crystal-clear. This feature even works when connecting one of our latest soundbars to your home theatre set-up.(2)

Everything gets the surround sound treatment on the BRAVIA 9 - even 2ch audio is upscaled to 5.1.2ch quality! 3D Surround Upscaling creates virtual sound from above and the sides using just the TV speakers. With Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® support, you can experience the thrill of 360 Spatial Sound equipment too.

Simultaneous Audio Output is a new feature that allows you to hear sound from the TV and a connected Bluetooth device at the same time. The BRAVIA 9 has been thoughtfully designed in a harmonious, contemporary fashion to blend naturally with your interior décor and walls, as well as accessories, such as our Sony soundbars.

Our 4-way stand gives you the flexibility to choose between an outside position for large surfaces, an inside position for smaller shelves, and two different soundbar positions. Comprised of thin, flat steel with a metallic hairline finish, it looks great in any environment and from any angle but can also be cleverly concealed - place a Sony soundbar on top and it virtually disappears(1)!
